Kathryn Johnson is a ceramic artist in the Hilltop, where she operates her studio out of her home. Kat makes functional pieces such as mugs and bowls as well as decorative sculptures. She sells my work primarily at art festivals around the city or online. She also teaches workshops off-site by request and collaborates with other businesses for custom, small-batch commission orders.
Kat moved to the Hilltop in 2019 and immediately fell in love with the community. She enjoys collaborating with other small businesses and meeting new neighbors. She has gotten to teach a workshop with the Hilltop Arts Collective, has created multiple small batch custom mugs for Third Way Coffeehouse, and had her studio open during the Home and Garden Tour of Westgate. Those connections make this area a great place for a small business to find its home.
