Ohio’s Hidden and Secret Used Book Store in the Heart of Columbus – The Hilltop! More than a bookstore, we’re part of a growing neighborhood community.

John Rush, owner of Papa Rush’s Used Books, named his store after a title close to his heart. Growing up, John called his own grandfather “PaPa”—pronounced like the paw of a dog or cat—and all eight of John and Debbie’s children used the same name for John’s dad. Over the last two years, John himself stepped into that role, becoming “PaPa” to two beautiful grandchildren. With roots in the mountains of West Virginia and Debbie’s deep connection to the Hilltop, their bookstore is a blend of heritage, hospitality, and heart.
